The C.A.R.D.S. Project

In July 2015, John Brown and Chris Adams invited me to participate in the second edition of The C.A.R.D.S Project. I joined ten other artists in creating 250 unique pieces of code-generated art, which was then printed, randomly shuffled, and packaged into 250 individual trading card-sized packs.

For this project, I was inspired by my son’s wooden teething toys, with their bright primary colors and simple geometric shapes. I created a series of monochomatic SVG files, and used Processing and the HYPE Framework to randomize their color, size, rotation, and placement on the canvas.
